About the Author

Myles Martin, known creatively as FroThePoet, is an author, poet, artist, community organizer, and criminal justice advocate from Texas. After spending nearly three years incarcerated awaiting trial for a crime he did not commit, he was acquitted by a jury and transformed that experience into a lifelong commitment to storytelling, advocacy, and community empowerment. His personal journey has been featured by criminal justice reform organizations and has helped inform national conversations surrounding pretrial detention, wrongful incarceration, and the human cost of the criminal legal system.
