Black-Palestinian Solidarity

The Black-Palestinian Solidarity reading list explores the decades-long history of solidarity between Palestinian people and Black people globally.

In the United States, Black leaders, thinkers, and activists such as Malcolm X, Kwame Ture, Angela Davis, James Baldwin, Cori Bush, Jesse Jackson, Saul Williams, noname, Kehlani, Muhammad Ali, Ethel Minor, and Marc Lamont Hill, as well as organizations such as the Black Panther Party, the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), the Dream Defenders, and the Black Lives Matter movement, have all expressed support for Palestinian people and commitment to collective liberation from oppression, racism, imperialism, and colonialism.

In South Africa, Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, and the African National Congress have supported the right to Palestinian self-determination.
