The Mr. Well-Travelled Juneteenth collection is more than fashion. It is streetwear as resistance to erasure, streetwear as knowledge transfer, and streetwear as remembrance.

We live in a time and in a place where highly coordinated groups that have power, control, and influence over systems of education and information are actively erasing evidence of the 246-year existence (1619 - 1865) of the legal institution of human chattel slavery, comprising the enslavement primarily of Africans and African-Americans, as well as the 100 years (1865 - 1965) of Jim Crow laws that followed. 

These groups are engaged in anti-intellectual and anti-academic activities, such as book banning, removing factual information about human chattel slavery from curriculums, excluding the AP African-American Studies course from schools, threatening teachers and librarians, and defunding diversity, equity, and inclusion programming. 

This Juneteenth design shouldn't only be worn on June 19th but every day to show the world that we will never forget, and we will stay free forever.
